Our Methodology

Measuring the social value of pelvic health care.

Physio Down Under is a private allied-health clinic in Singapore specialising in pelvic-floor physiotherapy. The clinic treats women whose pelvic-health symptoms limit how they live, work and move.

The Patient Wellbeing Impact Survey (PWIS) is the measurement engine through which the social value of that care will be reported. This page describes the methodology that will be applied. The evaluative SROI ratio will be published in a forthcoming FY2027 Impact Report, once data collection and independent assurance are complete.

Where we are in the reporting cycle

FY2027 is the base year — the first full cycle the PWIS measures.

METHODOLOGY
Declared

This page summarises the methodology. The full declaration is available on request

DATA COLLECTION

In progress

Outcomes are being gathered across the base-year cohort.

EVALUATIVE SROI

Forthcoming

A single SROI ratio with a sensitivity range, peer-reviewed, in a forthcoming FY2027 Impact Report.

Per SVI 2026 Principle 5 (Do Not Over-Claim), the SROI ratio is published only once methodology, data and
verification are all in place. No headline ratio is published in this declaration.

“We do not over-claim. Every figure in the Impact Report will be
anchored to a Singapore reference, our own signed financial records,
or a peer-reviewed source — and adjusted at the outcome level to
recognise that change rarely happens because of one organisation
alone.”

— METHODOLOGY PRINCIPLE

Our theory of change

How the work of our physiotherapists becomes social value — and where the PWIS
measures it.

01
OUR
PHYSIOTHERAPISTS

The skill and time of our pelvic-floor physiotherapists — assessing each woman and delivering handson care — with the clinic and equipment behind them.

02

ACTIVITIES

Targeted pelvic-floor and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with each patient setting her own functional goals. Wellbeing is measured at intake (T0) and discharge (T1).

03

OUTPUTS

Patients treated, and paired intake-todischarge records captured across the base-year cohort on validated, peerreviewed instruments.

04

OUTCOMES

Measured change across four outcome domains:

  • Pain & function
  • Mental health
  • Social connection
  • Productivity
05

SOCIAL VALUE

Change is counted only where it clears the minimal clinically important di!erence, then adjusted for what would have happened anyway, other causes and drop-o! — and expressed as an SROI ratio.

WHAT HAS TO HOLD FOR THIS TO WORK

Patients engage with therapy through to discharge; validated instruments capture change that matters to the patient; and conservative, outcome-specific adjustments keep every figure defensible rather than over-claimed.

In line with SVI 2026 Principle 5 (Do Not Over-Claim), no SROI ratio is published until methodology, data and verification
are all in place — in the forthcoming FY2027 Impact Report.

Where the impact comes from

Four outcome domains

The Patient Wellbeing Impact Survey captures change across four validated outcome domains, measured at two timepoints — T0 baseline at intake, T1 at discharge.

D1 · Pain & function

Pain reduction & physical function

Patients arrive with pain and/or symptoms that limit work, sleep and movement. Through targeted pelvic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy they leave moving more freely, with measurable gains on validated pain and activity scales.

icon-2

D2 · Mental health

Mood, anxiety & distress

Pelvic-floor conditions weigh heavily on mental wellbeing. Care that treats the body alongside the distress measurably reduces depression and anxiety in our cohort.

icon-3

D3 · Social connection

Re-engaging with life

These conditions are isolating. As symptoms ease, patients reconnect with the people, work and activities they had quietly withdrawn from.

icon-4

D4 · Productivity

Work & activity

Recovery returns patients to work, and to a life that does not depend on surgery. Productivity is measured at the patient level on a validated single-item scale.

Our methodology in brief

The PWIS methodology follows the Social Value International 2026 Principles of Social Value. We apply Principle 5 — Do Not Over-Claim — with outcome-specific, evidence-based adjustments rather than flat assumptions, and credit each patient’s change only where it clears the minimal clinically important difference (MCID).

Monetised proxies are anchored to recognised Singapore references, and investment is reported as full operational cost on professionally-prepared figures.
