Q: When can I start postnatal reformer Pilates? 

A: You can typically start postnatal Pilates about 6 weeks after a vaginal or C-section delivery as long as you have had clearance from your healthcare provider. We strongly recommend you visit one of our women’s health Physiotherapists to assess your pelvic floor and core before joining our postnatal reformer, Mums/Dads & Bubs classes or one-on-one Pilates, but this is not a prerequisite to starting our classes.

Q: Do I need prior Pilates experience?

A: No prior Pilates experience is necessary. Our classes are suitable for all fitness levels, including beginners. Our instructors will guide you through each exercise and provide modifications as needed.

Q: How often should I attend classes? 

A: We recommend attending classes 1-3 times per week to achieve the best results. Consistent practice helps you rebuild strength and improve overall well-being.

Q: What should I bring to the classes? 

A: Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows you to move freely. Please bring non-slip socks for better grip on the reformer machine. Don’t forget a water bottle to stay hydrated! Grip socks can be purchased at the front desk should you forget to bring socks with you. 

Q: What if I have specific postnatal concerns? 

A: Our instructors are highly specialised and experienced in dealing with various postnatal conditions. Please inform them of any specific concerns, and they will tailor the exercises to suit your needs. Our instructors have the advantage of being able to  work closely with our women’s health physiotherapists resulting in a workout that can be tailored to your specific needs.
